Should I apply an additional SPF since this is only SPF 30?
It’s not necessary, but if you want extra protection, go ahead: SPF 50 is only about 1.3% more protective than SPF 30. And ours is Broad Spectrum, which means it protects against UVA, UVB, infrared, and blue light rays.
Can this be used at night as well?
Yes! This is a true treatment product designed for both day and night use. Apply it in the evening to treat spots and wake up to brightened skin.
How long will the product last me?
It should last six weeks, if used as directed.
Is it normal to see a white or blue-ish residue at first?
Yes, you might notice a tint prior to fully rubbing it in. Make sure the product is fully massaged: Upon application, the formula warms to skin temperature and within a few seconds it absorbs, leaving a soft, illuminated radiance.

The consistency of the Multimodal Defender is naturally rich and buttery—so buttery, in fact, that it comes with a spoon for optimal application. Thanks to its targeted blend of ingredients, it’s designed to have a thick, almost solid texture as it comes out of the jar. Once massaged, it transforms, heating to your body temperature and melting into a creamy, non-migrating balm.
